THE MAVERICKS YOUTH TEAM PLAN

The long term aim is to build a competitive under 18's full contact American football team. American football is however an expensive sport and we do not expect players to turn up and after a few weeks pay out £150 for equipment.

 The plan is...........

Throughout September and October to recruit around 30 new players and teach them the skills of the game.

For the next 6 months to play a non contact version of the sport while the club uses fund raisers and sponsorship to buy the necessary equipment to safely play full contact American Football.

Once the club has raised the funds to buy the necessary equipment to train for several more months and then start playing competitive full contact matches.

The Youth American football league in the UK is growing with local teams currently based in Orpington, Farnham, Crawley, London, Eastbourne and Basildon so we have plenty of teams to practice against and then compete against when the time is right.
