Mavericks win Battle of Kent, by 50 points!
Having beaten the Maidstone Pumas at home 27-12 at the beginning of June, the East Kent Mavericks made the short trip to Maidstone looking to secure a second double over their Kent rivals in as many seasons.
Mavericks 19 - 7 Spartans
The East Kent Mavericks put in a magnificent performance in the fourth quarter against a strong and aggressive Essex Spartans team to win 19-7 in their fourth game of the season. Moving them to second place in Division 2of the British American Football League.
Mavericks 27 - 12 Pumas
Fired up Mavericks get back to winning ways and move into 2nd place in BAFL Divison 2 in a determined performace vs local rivals the Maidstone Pumas.
Maverics 7 - 20 Thrashers
On a long hot Sunday afternoon a catalogue of errors gave the East Kent Mavericks thier first defeat of the season on the road to the Hampshire Thrashers.
Mavericks 7 - 0 Gladiators
East Kent Mavericks defeated the visiting Colchester Gladiators 7-0. With offensive MVP John Zinkus' spectacular 2nd quarter catch in double coverage winning the Mavericks thier first game of the 2008 season.
Mavericks 2008 Campaign Begins
The East Kent Mavericks season kicks off with a home game on Sunday 27th, where they will play the recently demoted Colchester Gladiators. The Mavericks have had a productive off season and will settle with nothing less than going to the playoffs and beyond.
Coach Pearson goes back to School
Mavericks defensive coordinator Jason Pearson is jetting off to Hofstra University in New York for a four day visit with their coaching staff.
