After a successful 2012 campaign that saw the East Mavericks crowned divisional Champions the team are proud to announce with the release of their 2013 season schedule that they have this year been promoted to the British American Football Premiership.

The Mavericks official season opener is at home against the South Wales Warriors on Saturday 4th May.  The mavericks won thier last encourter with South Wales 15-14.

This September, the NFL will present its 7th International Series game from Wembley Stadium in London, as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Minnesota Vikings. In celebration of this event, the East Kent Mavericks Junior team are offering one lucky person the chance to win a pair of tickets, one adult and one child under 16, to see the game live and in person! The Mavericks Junior American Football team saw their second round of 7 vs. 7 competitions last Sunday, as the team travelled to Burgess Park, South London to take on their county rival Kent Exiles and the hosting South London Renegades.

The tournament kicked off with host team taking on the Exiles. The Exiles, who were dominant in the previous tournament, struggled against the Renegades passing attack and quickly 24 points in the first half. Their woes continued into the second half, where missed tackles allowed South London to put the game away. The Exiles showed promise on offense but were ultimately defeated, 36 points to 12.
